Apple settles with teen who sold white iPhone 4 kits

Apple has settled their lawsuit against teenager Fei Lam, although the settlement figures were undisclosed.
In 2010, Fei Lam, a 17-year-old student from Queens, NY, started the website whiteiphone4now.com which sold unauthorized kits to turn your black iPhone 4 into a white version.

I think apple needs to sue Foxconn for selling their parts without permission...and they need to give the kid a reward for making the iPhone4 slightly less unappealing.

Wow suing a 17 year old, bravo apple way to show your the bigger man. I think it have been easier to just shut down his operations instead of trying to take some of his small profits he made, I mean they make millions of dollars!

Proud to say i don't own any apple products - except the red ones sitting in my fruit basket and they are far tastier than anything that tw.at Steve Jobs has come out with - toys for stupid people with too much money and OC disorders.

WHAT!? Can I get sued by Apple for painting my iphone white? Can I get sued by Apple for showing others how to paint things, like an iphone, white? How about if I sold the paint to them? Yes this is all very illegal.

Let me get this straight, he bought parts from Foxconn, the vendor commissioned to make the white parts for the iPhuck in the first place, knowing sold some of these "licensed" parts to this kid who turned around & sold them to some other folks to dress up there shitty looking phones? Which were also legally purchased proper iPhuck devices?
I mean, the kid bought the parts from the correct vendor. It's not like he got them from a back alley street urchin who squeezed them out of plastic resin compressed from his greasy butt cheeks.
Once again, corporation +500, little nobody kid "Finish Him!!!": Or am I going to get hit with a lawsuit for having borrowed a line from Mortal Kombat?

i dont see how a crime was committed by the teenager.he brought the parts legally.
custom built gaming pc from early 2010,ps2 with 15 games all original,ps3 500gbs with 5 games all original,yamaha amp and 5.1channel surround sound speakers,46inch sony lcd smart tv.

April 26th of this year there was a shit storm over the iPhud4 being able to track your every movement and report back to Steve Jobs' cult farm. Corporations have the money to put a finger over their lips, go bug eyed and make with a cute curtsied "oops"; play like it was an innocent mistake, "we'll make nice-nice, all be better". Folks who probably know better, but don't make "a drop of piss in the ocean difference" to anything, go out and say, down load a hand full of songs, these giants go out and grind their bones into... well... I can't even say dust because the decimation is even beyond smashing atoms. I mean, I'm not a scientist. What do you get once you go below the sub atomic level? That's what these jerk-offs want to do to the little guy. You know, the folks that supply them with the cash that made them the colossal assholes that they have become.
I have a few solutions, but they're considered both too radical and barbaric for today's society. So for now I guess I'm part of the problem.
