Sony hacked one more time, info gets posted online

The hacking group that took down PBS earlier this week has hacked Sony and posted the info online, adding another chapter to the long saga of security breaches that have plagued the company since April.
"LulzSec" posted that they broke into the servers of Sony Pictures Entertainment websites and stole personal info for 1 million customers.

When do these attacks stop? What does Sony need to do? What are the terms of surrender? Maybe the hackers should just post the terms (ie Return of Linux on PS3 or Public apology to Geohot or a gazillion $$$$).
What will it take to stop the attacks?
Can't be selling too many PS3s lately. Sony PS3 sales will crash and burn quarter after quarter and soon their shareholders will say enough is enough. Pull the plug cut their losses and move on to another product.

I think Microsoft is reaping the rewards from this, but they don't dare publicly comment for fear of coming into these hacker's cross hairs. I personally know of 3 individuals that traded for a 360 just so they could play online again.

The attacks will never stop; sony (like all large corporations) will always be a worthwhile target for hackers, assuming they can be easily breached. While the attacks will never stop, some quality security would do a lot to cut back on the constant breaches...not that sony cares enough about our information to actually spend money on hiring qualified security professionals. As for terms of surrender, they were posted by Anonymous, and they have not been met.

I'm sympathetic towards people whose information has already been compromised, but after seeing what's transpired over the past few months, only a fool would still put his personal information in Sony's hands.

Now that the US have changed their laws to make cyber attacks classed as a war attacks, wonder when the US send Navy Seal 6 team over to knock on the door, well bust down the door and probably shoot everyone dead.
AFter a while the groups will get bored doing hacks for people's data but the US military won't get bored chasing them down.

Should've changed my home address while I was at it lol...
Doesn't bother me, all credit card information has been deleted off my PSN account and I even used a unique password for my PSN account so it can't be used to access my e-mail or whatever.

I've already bitched about this, so redundancy is mute...
Sony is synonymous with every other four letter word to describe Greed. They've gotten by on the cheap for server protection for "your" protection (their CEOs and hierarchy have the cream of the crop) and will continue to do so until you folks plain flat out stop buying their products or go with a paid protection plan kind of like M$ (if there is such a thing, I won't pay for such). Just remember, there's no such thing as a free puppy.
As for the hackers continuing to hit the consumer end of Sony's server networks, there are 2 thoughts. 1. they have small peters and can't hit the more lucrative CEO servers containing the bigger payoffs allowing them global recognition and godlike status... 2. they have small peters and aren't smart enough to hit the aforementioned servers, thus relying on the obviously weaker (or virtually unprotected) servers of the consumers as notoriety and will take the tiny dick points as their prize while hiding in shame after putting up the information for bid on the "Price is Right" for assholes.
Their not even 'hackers' by definition anyway. I get tired of that. Hackers look for information and enlightenment. These guys are destructive and malicious. Not to mention the US' alphabet soup can be set loose on their asses now for their actions, so 'god love ya' cause no body else does... losers...
If your dumb asses are going to make a statement, make the right one... tiny dicks... (message is for cyber criminals, "NOT" esteemed forum folks)

Damn right they should! The vast majority of the gaming public are sick and tired of these self rightious f##kwits preventing us from enjoying our hobby. There is alot of blaming Sony for allowing it to happen but in every sphere of criminality the villains are always one step ahead. They need to be caught and punished to the full extent of international law.

Yes, it sucks, but it doesn't matter what kind of security you have, as long as man made, people can break it. This is not a question of how safe, but a question of right or wrong.
Think about it, my door is made of wood, anybody with an axe can break it. A bank's vault is made out of steel, it's stronger than wood, but it's really safe? It's only safe because nobody bother to break in or the contents are not worth the time.

Sony got themselves into this mess and they're dragging all customers along. Way back when the PS3 was released the CEO's were already bragging about how secured the console was, now by bringing that much attention and removing OtherOS brought the perfect challenge... It is a controversial topic. In my opinion; if you bought it, yours it is to do whatever.

When I was just a young misinformed young fool, I used to get threatening letters from Sony how they are going to "Tattle-Tale" on me to my ISP and have me arrested for DLing one of their so-called copy-protected movies......Now I am an old fool who just changed the things that I could(encryption and such)and the wisdom to never be seen what I am doing anymore......Effin' Sony, threatening to have me arrested and my ISP. I hope they lose trillions of commerce.....Pick Color!...You Pay Now! LMAO.....next time I will call my old friend Godzilla. Ayyyeeeee!
