Please can someone help me. I really need to know wether or not the ps2 hdd CAN or CANNOT play media such as mp3 and movies?

Ok, I have the same problem as some of the other people. I put in DDR Extreme & the red "insert ps2 format disc" comes up. It worked fine at home (I'm at my dad's house) & it's not an import. US ps2's, US ps2 game. I put in a different ps2 game & it worked fine. Switched them, same problem. What do you suppose the problem is? I would guess the laser, but then why would the other game play? Thanks a lot.

i know you put all this info to help but i have a question that isn't there. do you have to buy a mod chip to play dvd games. i would really like to know how to burn the files i downloaded onto a dvd media disc and play. please if anyone can help get me started i would appreciate it. i know we can't talk about how to do illegal stuff so my email address is millermike1619@hotmail.com. i want to burn the iso images that are downloadable on the net from torrent sites and play them on my slim ps2. i have Nero and just need to learn the methods. thanks anyone who will help.

the ps2 warrenty is the best warrenty in the world because of all of the loopholes in it. i bought my ps2 off of a friend knowing that it was broken and i emailed sony and told them i bought it off of a friend and it was broken and they told me to send it in and they would fix it for free. well it turned out that it was broken beyond repair so what did they do, they shipped me a new ps2 at no charge (not the slimmer one mind you), but a new one never the less
_im not in denial. im just very selective about which reality i choose_

Im curious when the Ps3 coming out. Do ou think it will be the same mod chip and same producers? Also, can someone point to me where there is thread that talks about not using a mod chip. Im interested for educational reasons:)

I'm new to PS2 modding and this site but I am not new to XBOX modding. My question is. Is there a program like XBOX's DVD2XBOX that you can just put games from a cd or dvd onto the hard drive so I don't have to mess around on compter stuff. Also, can any PS2 work with a DMS 4 EZI modchip? I have an older PS2 like version 4 or something. And finally . . . is there any media player similar to XBMC for XBOX on the PS2?

Hi there. I like your FAQS. Im having problems playing my burnt games online and I tried to follow what your FAQS had said to do under
Q) How can I get online with my backup?
And the links for (To extract the DNAS id you will need to burn a Disc ID Utility CD) and (To patch your image file with the extracted id before burning use Image Patcher) dont work.
Do you know where I can find these programs? Thanks!

umm.....i need to know if I ABSOLUTELY HAVE to have a DVD decryptor....I have a DVD burner and I have Nero. Can't I just use that? And I have A PS2 slim and I have the swap magic disc....can I MAKE the tools to hold down the sensors myself? Is there a way I can make them w/ out having to buy them? And is there only two sensors on the ps2 slim......one in the bottom right hand corner, and another underneath the cover towards the middle-top of the ps2 slim? and Is that little lever that i can push to the right (that is visible w/ out having to take the top off) just to hold the flip-top down...and has nothing to do with the sensors, and does not have to be held?!? If I am wrong about any of this please inform me!

ok, I read the FAQ, but it still doesn't help
I got this game in a format of BIN file with a CUE file from my friend. I have no idea how to burn it onto a CD or DVD to make it work
I have:
Modded PS2
DVDROM on PC
DVD-Rs & CD-Rs
The game in the format above
MagicISO
Nero Express 6
ISObuster
Alcohol 120%
I need to know step by step how to make it work with the things I have, if anyone knows, plz respond, I'll be greatly appreciated

When I use DVD Decrypter to back up to your hard drive, it makes to files. One is a little larger than the other one. Which one should i write?
