ok sorry ment to say also that i am using in C***** area so would that make a difference do you think as i have all the channels and the 1800 scrambled on the tv screen

Ok have done the 0000 again and then tried the 7777 again get the red button for the key manager press it go to current key and press ok again screen blinks but still do not get the auto update to turn off and when i exit to the tv screen i get the 1800 scrambled flashing in the top left hand corner

I had the same situation last week & it drove me crazy, it turned out to be a simple loose cable connection in the end.
Try powering down (As in plugging out the box for 10 mins) & trying again. Make sure you put it onto something like Sky Sports & wait to see if it updates.

ok still no joy still get the 1800 scrambled channel flashing and no channels would it be possible that i do need to get into the auto update part to turn this off as i have not been able to gain entry to this also would it be possible that the firmware that i got from eko site is the wrong one 7.52 ie is the one i took

Right i have now put 7.56 on it and can view the unscrambled channels but still cannot get into the auto update to turn this off any more ideas gman as to where to go to from here i am getting the 1800 scrambled on the screen

You are scanning on 6875 for Chou*s?
Are you sure you have this set?
Go to parental lock.
Goto key manager,
Nagra page.
Scroll left till you see 0x5E (if it?s not there, add provider ID) Type 5E in the box that pops up.
Exit back to tv. Then do a full scan.

yep have done all that but still no way i can get into the auto update to turn this off i have even entered the codes manually all i get is 1800 scrambled

Scrambled 1800 is normally good, that's what you want to see initially.
I know you are going to want to hit me here, but are you sure you connections are good & your service is up at the minute?

no you are sound yes service is 100% as i am using other boxes to test here as well like dbox arnet starview and euro all run fine except this little whee laddy

Do you not have access to a working one to clone?
If not I would leave it disconnected for a couple of hours rather then leaving it plugged in. There have been reports in earlier threads that the box tends to reset itself if left powered off for a period.
One of the other users had this same issue the other night and sorted it. I can't recall exactly how cos it was around 4.00am but I think it was on page 88 are so.
Keep us posted anyway.

No dont have access to another one this one belongs to my friend i am trying to sort for him if it was any other box i would have it sorted in 10 min but these boxes tend to give some problems setting them up and yes you could be rite i will look back over the thread and see what come up i will keep you updated as to the position regarding the box

To turn off the Auto Update button.
1st Step
Menu
Use installation
Parental lock
Current password?7777 or 0000
Parental lock off
Install lock off
New password 7777
Confirm password 7777
Exit 3 times back to TV screen
2nd Step
Then
Menu-parental lock
Goto key manager (red button on your remote control)
Current key-ok (on your remote control)
Auto update ----off
Exit 3 times back to TV screen (or press the blue button if you want the Nagra page)
You might have to do the 2nd step again to turn off the auto update button.

Hi Brian
Still no joy with that box i can get as far as the red button but when i press ok on the current key all i get is a blink of the screen but no joy as to be able to see or get into the auto update screen to turn this off
i do get the 1800 scrambled on the tv as soon as i have exit out to the tv after pressing ok on the current key but it just stays at that and does nothing else
the box has been on all night with still no joy

Hi Fergs,
When you get to the "Key Manager2 Screen scroll to the Nagra box and sekect OK.
Go to 0x5E
0x00 Should read; 0x4B.7C.D5.86.E7.01.CC.96
0x01 Should read 0x81.34.4B.3C.9E.DF.10.67
If 0x5E is not there use the "Add Provider ID" and type in 5E.
Go to the Nagra page and input the codes manually, except dont put in 0x as above on the nagra as this come's in automatically.
I think your real problem is that the 756 software isn't really the best.

Hi Brian
Thanks for that i got so fed up with it i went up to dub and put it on NT and got into the auto update and now it is working not sure what the problem was in C***** area i even put 752 back on to it with still the same result has to be something to do with the C***** area well i defo would not recommend to anyone in my area Nightmare comes to mind

Was cloning a box when everything went a bit wonky and the cable went down. I'm presuming this is just a local area fault. Will this affect the cloning process (I can't imagine so but I can't check the clone because there's no signal)
