Hi Folks-- I can record ALL my cable channels to my Philips dvdr75 and the quality is great but when I record the Starz or Encore channels there is an artificial layer of "swimming/floating/swirling grain" added to the film not seen during broadcast. These are the only 2 channels on my whole cable system that do this. This isn't compression artifacts here but something else. Does my cable company add some signal to make my dvd recordings less than desireable? Why only the movie channels? This is an analog cable converter by the way. Thanks! atarijohn
