FTC anti-trust regulators in the U.S. have given Apple approval to buy assets from the bankrupt telecom Nortel Networks. Intel, Apple, Google and Ericsson have all expressed interest in the over 6000 patents in Nortel's portfolio and each is expected to be granted approval within the week.
