They have a point. My sister had an LG Cookie (I'm 99% sure that LG is a subsidiary of Samsung) and it was obvious from the key layout to the UI on the phone that it was trying to look like an iPhone. I don't know why they sued however, that same LG/Samsung phone taught us never to buy one of their phones ever again.

Not sure about the other models but the Galaxy S phones are a very close clone of the iPhone 3G/3GS. I remember seeing the Vibrant last year in a T-Mobile store and being shocked at how much like the iPhone it looked. T-Mobile was even pushing it to its customers who keep asking when are they getting the iPhone.

I know Apple's phones are outselling all the other manufactures but HTC and Motorola came up with their own unique designs. Why couldn't Samsung?

This is going to get uglier it seems, They are both too heavyweights and it seems that its going to be an on-going dispute as i am sure they both have something up their sleeves to counter each other
