Nvidia is expected to release the Wayne SoC in fall 2012.
Morreale is expected to make his HTC HD2 last 'til fall 2012.

Morreale hopes dev. support for his HD2 also lasts just as long.

Very neat...they are getting closer to my dream device...

An 8 core phone with at least 128GB of internal high speed flash and at least 4GB of memory, with multiboot between Linux, Android, and Windows 7. Also needs HDMI and USB ports, and a full size XD card slot would be nice too.

Make sure it weighs under 1 ounce otherwise the fantasy isn't complete.

Nvidia's development philosophy:

"Just stick another few cores in it"

PS: Yes, I am aware that was a rash generalisation.

Is it code named Wayne after batman? I like their hero theme but I thought superman was better than batman when it came to raw power.

I am sure they thought about it, but guess they were worried If Intel, AMD, most likely ARM came out with a one named Krypton!

@NHS2008, batman breathed fear into his foe... i don't see intel or amd offering so many cores in their current mobile architecture to date.

I guess the real question should be how much heat is a cpu/gpu going to pump, its all well having more power than god, but not at the expense of burning my fingers ever time i want to operate my device for more then 10 minutes at a time.
