Hello, I am just about to place an order for a Pre-mod Matrix Infinity but I have a question first. I cant seem to even find a homepage for the chip with the firmware available for download. It also seems to me that the DMS3 company just has more "money" if you will, to stay around longer than the Matrix does. By that I mean I dont want to get the Matrix and then the company dies off and stops developing new firmware. Am I just being paranoid or what? Also, i've read the small differences between the Matrix and the DMS3, but the main difference is only the DMS3's abilty to play DivX, correct?

they will both play divx because that option has nothing to do with the chip , that is a freeware program called ps2 reality player and could be burned to a disc (with a divx movie) and play in any chipped ps2 . here is the matrix site http://www.infinitymod.com/cgi-bin/matrix/site.pl?page=chip_infinity
