Ok I know people have had problems with Divix audio and TMPGenc but I have a problem with the video, can someone tell me what drivers, plugins, codecs I have to install I have the tmpgenc.vfp installed and on do I need to install something else maybe something else to do with the vfapi, I have used this program numerous time in the past this is a new insall of windows and I have the current divix codec installed 4.12, help please????

Yes I'm trying to open a divix file within Tmpgenc but it states that the file type is unsupported or not recognised!

TMPGEnc only accepts non-encoded audio from AVI files and your DivX probably has either MP3, WMA or AC3 audio. What you need to do, is to use VirtualDub, open the AVI and select Save WAV. Then open the AVI with TMPGEnc and for audio source, select the WAV and you should be good to go.

Just one more thing is there any way of enabling Tmpgenc to read encoded audio within a AVI file? I have an AVI file that I converted with Tmpgenc and now that same file doesn't open!! any ideas??

TMPGEnc definately opens files that it has created -- you're probably missing some reader codec now or have corrupted your file somehow.
