According to the latest figures from comScore MobiLens, Android continues its exponential growth story, taking 40.1 percent of the U.S. market share for smartphones for June. Overall, 78.5 million Americans owned smartphones, up 8 percent from the period ended March. Android moved from 34.7 percent to 40.1 percent, holding the top spot.
