article published on 14 August, 2011

In June, Apple CEO Steve Jobs unveiled plans to build a new 3.1 million square foot "Spaceship" campus in Cupertino. The Cupertino mayor said later that month that there was little to no chance that city officials would reject the plans, and they have not. The building will still be required to pass environmental checks and pass a public hearing, likely early next year. Said Jobs, ... [ read the full article ]

No kidding... Why do I feel like this thing is also to serve a function similar to the Pentagon?

Not to mention, what all is actually supposed to transpire in a facility this large?

I think it is cool looking building. I wish more people built buildings that could be considered a work of art.

Now if only Apple could become a more consumer friendly company so I could say more nice things about them.

It may be cool looking, but I don't know how practical the thing is. Its diameter is 1200 feet, which means you may be walking up to 1800 feet (6 football fields) to get to a meeting or the cafeteria unless you cut through the middle (which would be a 1200 foot worst case).

I don't know why they bothered with a gym...
