I could agree with almost everything except releasing to iTunes...by doing that, they exclude a large number of fans. It doesn't take much extra work to at least mirror it over to some service that offers MP3s that work with devices other than PCs and iToys...the profit margins on the MP3 tracks would be larger because Apple rips people off on both sides of the transaction...and Apple's DRM is not very good, so it isn't like you are stopping post-release piracy by limiting your tracks to iTunes.
