Samsung has stated in no uncertain terms they won't be buying Hewlett-Packard's PC business. Personally, I don't think the PC market is reeling in it's last gasp and HP being a/the leader in PC sales doesn't immediately lend itself to dispelling that rumor.

I can't help but think this proposed 'sale' was directed at HP's tablet business & not the PC market. As we all know HOP has bowed out of tablet manufacturing and not that I have felt the need to race out & buy a Samsung tablet or laptop, they do make several items that I run in my tower. Being as overpriced as Samsung is & causing their own grind to their sales, I wouldn't be in a mad dash to purchase another overpriced minimal computer manufacturing scheme if I were them either. That and I have never regarded Samsung as a leader/trend setter in the PC/Laptop market to begin with.
