Before I start, I would just like to say, I have read through loads of threads but cannot solve the problem, so i thought i would post exactly what is happening to me & see if anyone can help
I have just purchased a FlipTop Cover for my V9 PS2. I also have Swap Magic CD 3 & DVD 2.
I have backed up my Hyper Street Fighter 2 onto my Datawrite DVD+R disk using DVD Decryptor on MAX speed.
When i try to boot the game, I use Swap Magic DVD, then put in my backup, press X, but get the pink border and the game won't load.
I read on these forums about DVDLoader, so i downloaded a copy, burnt the iso onto a DVD and inserted the disk with dvd loader on at the insert disc screen on Swap Magic DVD.
The game still didn't boot.
Can anyone please help me as I am really struggling? The only thing I could is that it is a bad burn since I burnt it on MAX?
Cheers in advance

did you use a high toc disk? if not try this.
load smdvd, swap for dvdloader, "eject" (note refresh TOC message)and insert original high toc disk (vice city, devil may cry etc.) wait for the message "insert dvd by ea method" then swap for backup.

yes, 1x-2x is best, also shut down anything running in the background ie: anti virus, media player etc.

Those discs you burned at full speed will likely start to skip and stutter a few months or a year down the road. Burned discs gradually fade over time. The slower the speed you burn at the slower the fading process will progress.
PS2 - v8
Mod - Magic V
Burner - CenDyne (Pioneer) DVR-A05
Media - Anything Cheap
Gamecube w/Broadband Adapter
Phantasy Star Online
Animal Crossing Loader v1.4
Phantasy Star Uploader v1.1
Gamecube ISO Ripping Server v1.0.0.29

ahoi, you might want to try writing in - format.
try using the lowest speed possible.
had the same problem with the pink border and all my backups were written in + format, but its working fine now. Hope this helps :P

Try using DVD Decrypter, I dont think plus or minus makes a difference..
Ive used Sony, Verbatim, JVC, Datawrite, Ridata, Philips, Mitsubishi.... ALL plus disk and work perfectly in my v3 PS2 =)
