I thought windows 7 was supposed to fix all the bloat and bugs with vista, now windows 8 is already coming out.. This is ridiculous. Anyone who's seen the onion movie knows exactly what I'm talking about lol.

I haven't, and will soon, but certainly ridiculous. What ever happened to proper testing? Now everyone pays for a full product the moment M$ decides it's ready for some more revenue, but no one gets anything close to complete or secure until months later.
Now, I love 7, I've replaced XP with it on every machine I'm near (especially since I finally found how to network the damn thing properly without making a Domain), but it's just Vista with some mistakes fixed and some not. Vista Take II. And now we're getting another; one which I'm wary of. I'm skeptical with all of their ribbons, they're why I hate the newer Office suites, and that's their big thing with this one to make it more tablet-friendly.
I'm just ready for Android and Intel to keep playing ball together. I want Android everything, with sync'ing across all devices; already several different services that keep up with several different things, but I want to download a file to my phone and it instantly be marked to move to my other devices once I'm connected directly or over the network. I'm ready for my laptop, desktop, phone, and tablet to all be styled the same (by me of course) but running appropriate versions and for all of them to be automatically kept updated with each other. Install an app on one, installs universally. Add a WiFi network on one, and all that are compatible get the SSID and passkey.
And the important thing is for it to be native. I don't want three or five different services to keep me updated with myself, and I don't want different file structures that cause me to have to specify paths or write scripts.
Nah two years is fine between releases,Apple do it since 02 & linux every year, the question is whether they drop support at what point for vista then win 7
What's the problem? By the time this officially releases sometime next year (I am assuming since no official release date has been given) Windows 7 will be out for 3 years. Besides no one is saying you have to upgrade but if they do the promotions like they did with 7 I will jump on board. I got Windows7 Ultimate for Free and two copies of Pro for $40 each. My parents pre-ordered a copy of 7 for $50 each. There are ways to get it cheaper compared to MSRP pricing if you know where to look and don't procrastinate.
