HMV Group chief executive Simox Fox insists he is still optimistic about the future. The High-Street store has seen a 12.8 percent drop in total retail sales. This isnt at all surprising to me. Everything they sell in-store is full price and then some, they need to realise people arent going to pay £18-25 for a blu ray movie when you can get them cheaper elsewhere.

Bottom line: HMV are ridiculously overpriced and have been for way too long, how they survived when the likes of zavvi - who IMO did slightly better prices - went bust is a mystery to me.
