I plan to soon get started on backing up my PS2 games and DVD movies and to also play original imports. I just want to make sure i got all my stuff straight. So im going to need a DVD-RW drive and DVD-R discs since people usually recomend those compared to others (DVD+R, DVD-RW, etc..), a program to make the iso of the game such as alcohol 120% or DVD Decrypter and to put that iso onto a blank dvd-r, Swap magic and a flip top so i can play the backups and original imports. Anything I'm forgetting? suggestions would be greatly appreciated :)

for your movie backups you might also consider DVD Shrink,clone dvd,or dvd2one

Nero is also another good program to use for the actual burning. When using Nero and Shrink together, backing up a dvd becomes very simple. Nero can then also be used to make backups of the games using the simple Disc-to-Disc copy. Good Luck and let us know if you have any questions once you get started!

Yeah I have Nero, I tried to burn a cd based game recently (ford racing 2) but it gave me an error. I was using the disk copy process. I also have DVD Shrink and have heard nothing but good things about it so im looking forward to that.

I used alcohol 120% to burn the cd based ps2 game, it worked, the thing that took me a few tries to realize was that i need to set the datatype to Playstation not Playstation 2. What seems to be the best method for burning DVD based ps2 games?
