Google has added a helicopter 3D view of the route to their popular Maps GPS service.
The new button gives users a chance to see the 3D birdseye view of the route, an addition to all standard navigation/direction features.
After selecting a start and finish point, hit the "3D" button next to "Driving Directions," says DT.

Fantastic, I look forward to the constant drone of copters flying around the neighborhood, lol. If your too dumb to follow turn by turn gps directions, or read a map, what is this going to do for you? Maybe they just put up a satellite with better optics?
I have done a fair bit of driving across US in 70s. The only aid available were the maps available for FREE at the gas stations. I never once had any problems.
Unless one is driving at night under blackout order - circa WW II - why should one need such a gizmo? How stupid should one be?
