It appears that movie streaming giant Netflix is looking to revive the Comedy Central comedy "Reno 911!"
Netflix's chief creative officer Ted Sarandos has had meetings with Reno 911! producers Michael Shamberg and Stacy Sher, although that is as far as the process has gone. The show was cancelled in 2009.

if netflix can bag this, and maybe win the bid (if they are even bidding) for arrested development, then perhaps their niche can be reviving cancelled tv shows with cult followings.
This is ridiculous. Why should my Netflix subscription money go to making new shows? I want content delivery, not new content of shows I don't care about. Given Netflix's recent price hike, and its need for even more money to buy the rights for more content, why waste money on shows only a few people watched in the first place?

they gotta start somewhere. look how hbo started and they now make some of the best original shows around.
