I have a DVD/CD-Rom Drive in my notebook and a DVD Burner in my PC.

When I play a DVD in my notebook I get a perfect picture, but when I play it in my PC I get a blocky picture.

Are there any reasons why?

Thanks in advance

On the pc, do a msconfig and disable all of your startup items, this will release some of the system resources, then try and play the movie. Tell me what happens.

It might be a combination of your monitor/screens and the video cards. Your laptop may have a better screen and video card.

Sorry 321sucker been away on business. I have tried what you suggested and its the same.

Though I did manage to set my Burner on the notebook abd it worked fine. So it must be something on the PC. I did change the monitor, still the same.

So I am thinking the on board VGA.

Thanks
