I am gonna buy a printer that can also print directly to CD/DVD media but reading this about the ink issue,???,Maybe attaching a blank paper CD/DVD label to the disc first and printing onto this may help.I mean these media paper labels come in a somewhat print format (ie) OFFSET and INLINE.I used these as my old printer didn`t have the "print to disc" facility directly.I had to scan the disc label image to the pc through photo suite and thence onto the paper labels throgh the old printer.The problem was getting a perfect printout onto the disc label circumference.Anyway,finding out throuh browsing through the argos catalogue that they have an epson printer that can print directly to CDs and DVDs.It,s a must get method of approach.In all,I just thought to let you know of the idea of attaching paper labels to a disc and then printing onto that,if you find that the print wipes off when the image is printed directly.

That entirely defeats the purpose of getting a printer that will print directly to disc though.

A quite basic printer,The epson R200 (5760x1440dpi)has the facility for printing directly onto cds/dvds.for simple home use.
