Matias Duarte, Senior Director of Android Experience at Google, let it be known after the company's launch of Android 4.0 ICS that all system applications can be removed, including the Chrome-variant browser and email client. From the picture, it looks like you can disable it, but not necessarily uninstall it.

You might be able to scroll down and possibly the uninstall button is there. But this has been a long time coming. At least we won't have to "root" anymore to disable crappy bloatware. Although I will still root any of my android devices.

It looks like crappy bloatware will still be wasting space...this just removes the shortcuts. An improvement...but not much of one since the bloatware that comes on these devices not only wastes space, but is completely useless...they are always outdated versions...and the updates are full new installs; so if you actually want facebook (or some other bloatware) you end up with two full copies of it.
