i am behind a univ. firewall/proxy server and none of the file sharing programs work for me.can u tell me how i can get p2p programs like dc++ and torrent to work behind proxy

What university? In most cases, odds are changing the port from 80 to something will do the trick ... but that was "last year's" workaround ... dont think it works this year :)
