Ok - please be patient with me - new but learning

I have a PV-953 digital camcorder. Made a video when I was vacationing in LA. Came back home, downloaded the video to my PC using firewire and Pinnacle 9.
I did some basic editing, added a soundtrack, and burned to a DVD-R disk.

When I watch the disk on my PC it looks great.

When I play the same disk in my DMR-E50 (connected to my TV) the DVD stutters in parts.

What should I try to fix this?

Hi,

Stuttering during playback is most commonly the result of using low quality media. A good workaround would be to burn your remaining discs at a lower speed and then buy some good stuff such as RitekG04, Verbatim Metal AZO, Taiyo Yuden or Maxell. Believe it not, quality media makes a world of difference.

Another possibility is that your player doesn't like burned media. You can check player compatibility here:

It may also help (and certainly couldn't hurt) to update the firmware on your burner. Here's a link to a great site for getting the latest firmware revisions. If you're new to flashing firmwares I highly suggest going to the forums there and reading up on the "how-to's" of flashing.
