Ok - please be patient with me - new but learning

I have a PV-953 digital camcorder. Made a video when I was vacationing in LA. Came back home, downloaded the video to my PC using firewire and Pinnacle 9.
I did some basic editing, added a soundtrack, and burned to a DVD-R disk.

When I watch the disk on my PC it looks great.

When I play the same disk in my DMR-E50 (connected to my TV) the DVD stutters in parts.

What should I try to fix this?

It could be low quality media. Your PC has a much higher tolerance for reading lower quality media. What brand did you use? For the best results you'll find that most people use either discs with Ritek G04 dye (I use RiData myself) or branded Verbatims (meaning the discs have the word Verbatim printed on them). If you used high quality media, what burner do you have?

I've tried Memorex DVD-R disks so far. I just bought Sony-R.

At my local dept store they also sell Fuji.

I can try these or wait until my newly placed order for Riteks come in.

Suggestions?

I wouldn't bother with the Fujis because I've heard both good and bad things about them. If you want to keep trying with what you already have, I'd advise using the slowest burn speed available and that may help. You could also try shutting down any antivirus or firewall software while burning as anything that runs constantly in the background can potentially cause problems like you're experiencing.
