Reports that tout Product-X as selling crazy amounts in the first few days of release usually indicate how effective the marketing campaign is much more more than being an indicator of the product's quality.

I think it's best to wait and read a fair number of reviews from impartial players before taking the plunge.

It has straight 8.5s and 9s from most big sites (IGN, Gamepro, etc)

I'll be the first to say though, the online multiplayer needs some serious revision. Small maps, awful respawns points, low ammunition for already weak guns, and the return of quick scoping. It's worse than black ops and MW2.

and the next lame ass re-release of this overdone franchise will gross even more...........WANNA KNOW WHY PEOPLE? Because human population increases exponentially. Lot's more people on our planet in the past couple years and lots more kids at the age of which they will be able to play. Couple this with a slight increase in popularity and voila..........but COD developers are trying to pass this off as if the game is SOOOOO incredibly better each time that people just have to have it. Phooey!

Trying taking that money and making a COD 4 that isn't the same playability as the first 3 and has a new engine, new controls, new and better graphics. COD MW3 is just an overlayed game with new maps.

I would probably end up using this to level a desk or something. I cannot stand this franchise of games. I have tried all of them and each time its only because of friend promises "oh this one is so much better than the last one". The problem with this game is not weapon selection or graphics, it comes down to the fact that there is no tactical aspect. I cannot stand a game that requires no brain or thought to win. This game comes down strictly to who has the fastest reflexes.

I wish they brought back my beloved cod:uo :( screw "modern" "warfare" everything was down hill after cod4 and I didn't even like that game much either..(I still played it though)
