Last week Google's challenge for Apple's dominance in the online music world, called Google Music officially came out of beta and opened to the public.
If done well, Google Music could end up being one of their biggest and best achievements. If done poorly it could be just as big a mistake. In this article I will try to help you decide for yourself which one it is, and whether it's worth ... [ read the full article ]

For the first time in nearly a decade I now leave my iPod at home and use this app instead in the car, the gym, biking. If you have Sprint the data plans are unlimited so this app makes that plan worthwhile. I guess we better enjoy it while we can.
Have been using the cloud streaming features of Google Music since day 1 and absolutely love it. Carry around all my 4000 songs on my phone (and Chromebook) and stream at great quality with no space taken up (except for small caching).
More recently, downloaded a few of the free tracks from the store and it was easy as could be.
It is looking good so far, for a beta anyway. Personally I really like the music app that came with my old motorola (the one that came with my new HTC is crap). This looks like the app from my motorola with web functionality added.
I like the idea of the cloud storage...it is a bit small for my collection, but it still looks very promising.
Even if everything worked perfectly, it would all seem pretty useless for desktop/laptop use...but the additional space would be nice since my 32GB memory card is full of music and I still have about 60GB more that I would like to have on the device...I guess it is going on the cloud!

So much for that...it is a nice concept, but the bug with it wanting to upload everything kind of ruins it. There is only space for 20,000 songs and my smallest music folder has 39,000 songs.
