HBO Co-President Eric Kessler has not so subtly said this week that Netflix will never get any of the company's original programming.
The company has massively popular series like True Blood, Game of Thrones, Entourage and Boardwalk Empire, among a plethora of others.

well he was right calling streaming companies competitors and in the short term he might be right on cord cutting but with out a doubt it is only a matter of time before streaming becomes more popular then traditional ways to watch TV.

Think long term or die.
I'll just get my HBO shows the old fashion way. I'll use bittorrent.
All HBO needs to do is make their programming available at a decent price and I will pay for it. How much money do you think they are losing by not making their shows available.
Probably quite a bit. Starz turned down 300 million to renew their contract with netflix.
This guy is a f**king moron. Netflix had seasons 1-3 of Breaking Bad. If they were not on Netflix, I never would have seen the show. Because they were on Netflix, I bought season 4 on bluray and am waiting for season 5.
To a media company, Netflix is like a promoter that pays the media company for the chance to represent them! If HBO management can't even figure that out, I doubt I would want to see anything that they greenlit anyway.

Evil begets evil unfortunately. It seems like ignorant companies such as HBO or even Sony fail to see what their customers want, more content from more providers. It provides a decent sum of revenue when done the right way. I agree Killer, why don't they, cause they got their head up their ass to see what would benefit them long-term. Netflix would be ideal for them, hell, even YouTube is considering bringing "premium content" to the masses so why not start there if you're scared? Doesn't make sense to me either. It's only their corporate greed that blinds them to see the way they should be going, up, not down.
