Is there a piece of software out there like GSpot, for Mac users?

I have a WMP video I'm trying to play (version 9.0) and I'm getting a message that I do not have the codec needed (but no info as to which one that is). The video will play, but no audio. File info says audio is MPEG Layer 3. I've already tested whether I have this codec, and I do. (http://soundamerica.com/codec.htm). I also already have the DivX codec.

Any suggestions or info on codec detection software?
