I just ordered the Plextor Px-708a DVD recorder to burn backup copies of my dvd movies. To save ware and tear on this drive I'd like to purchase a seperate DVD rom drive for ripping purposes only. Which rom drives work the best for this purpose or does it matter?

My favorite ROM is the Lite-On 166S.

It tears through everything I've managed to stuff in it (I haven't tried tortillas yet). The 166S goes for a little over $30 nowadays which is a steal for the performance the drive gives :)

My killer sig came courtesy of bb "El Jefe" mayo.
