Nero 6.3 buffer level fluctuates and poor burning performance

I thought I fixed it, but it just came back. The main symptom is Buffer Level fluctuates greatly and CPU usage jumps upside down.

Took me 1.5 hours to burn 1 DVD-R, which fortuantely is viewable.

Can anybody provide me some idea?

checked DMA, DMA is fine.

Windows 2000 Pro SP4
Nero 6.3.0.3
Sony DRU-530A
firmware 2.0c

I have the same problem. Now I installed Nero 6.3.1.1.7
(the last one) but the problem is not resolved.
I am despereted.

Here's what you do:

set the DVDRW as PIO - no matter what it is read now. Reboot and change it to DMA, reboot.

It should fix it.

I make also that. I put PIO and then DMA. But is the same. I am trying to burn it via lan. When I use only pc in local function. But with lan no.
