I am currently installing my chip as I type. I am soldering like a son of a gun, when all the sudden the v solder point just pops out, can I repair this or am i screwed, all of my other solder points are good, and clean. I know I didn't get too hot, but what would cause it to just come off still attached to the wire I had soldered it to.

you can follow the trace and solder it to the leg on the bios chip .

well I tried and failed. I can wire and solder car stereos and replace resistors and capacitors on boards, but for the life of me I cannot get this modcip shit down. I tried to use the bios legs but the damn thing just busted(the bios leg)while I was isolating it with tacky blue shit and a razor blade. I just fucked up my duo chip. Then to beat me even further, I put my ps2 back together everything works except the lights on the reset and eject buttons. I don't have the money for a installer to do this stuff and I am savy enough to do a good job but this one thing just jacked me up. I guess I'll just stick with the no solder thing, and keep swapping.
