Philips DVD 722 stopped playing disks

Hi, I have old "broken" Philips DVD722 in my hand. Or is it really broken? What happens when playing for example DVD is that with "cold" machine player works about 15-30 minutes just fine but then stops. After "cooling" awhile player works about 5-6 min and then stops. When system stops disk is still spinning and laser beam is on and when looking front display it goes DVD tracks through one by one and finally after last track I can see number 5 and -:--:-- on screen.....any suggestions are wellcome.
