Now I've been using Auto Guardian Knot for a couple of weeks and Ive had no problems whatsoever.
Yesterday morning I reinstalled my PC and as a result downloaded and reinstalled autogk ands dvddecrypter.
I ripped the film NARC last night and left AutoGK to do it's thing while I was sleeping and when I got up this morning, there it was :)
Wonderfull video quality, probably one of the best I have ever seen but.......NO BLOODY AUDIO!
Come on guys gimme a helping hand....what went wrong and why now?
Windows MP3 codec can playback, but is locked so will not record (thanks, Bill). So you're going to have to have something installed that AutoGKnot will use, I dunno what it likes but the Radium codec is pretty universal.
http://www.pcrapide.com/includes/download.php?wf=4 This link works (codec getting very hard to locate!)
File I have is called ra-codec12.zip so, hope you can grab it :-)
Regards
Now Ive downloaded the codec but it still has no audio so Im guessing that I have to rip and encode all over again?
If it doesnt work, then what????????????????????????
How come this has only just happened?
Ive been ripping films for two weeks without any problems!!!
Im thinking about changing over from AutoGK to something better but, I want something that will do the DVD encoding and dubbing without me having to keep a watchfull eye over it.
I dont spend a lot of time around the computer and like to set GK in motion then get about my buisness and when I come back its done.
Yo wideback,
If you generally have no problems, then there's something different or unusual about that one backup you're trying to make.
Sometimes the DVD audio is not in AC3, sometimes it's MP2 or ?
I would run SmartRipper and Demux audio to separate file, then you could see what you're getting.
You did say no problems with other DVDs, right?
Or, I thought you said it malfunctioned after you reinstalled, so the codec might've helped...
Clarify: are you dead in water, can't run AutoGKnot with anything, or is it just one DVD?
Hi OGS, Ive worked it out mate.
When I try to play the films in windows media player there was no sound and I got a message saying "Error downloading codecs" this is happening with all DVDs.
One of the guys on here reccomended a certain codec pack but it failed to work so I went on a search and tried an AC3 decoder which allowed me to play the films in winamp but still not media player
