Smartripper Aspi question

I've installed adaptec aspi and run the check and the right versions of all 4 files are installed. I have a greyed out message saying that aspi is properly installed and fully operational.
When I run Smartripper it says
"No ASPI access to this drive
Switch to WinIO"
(this is not a pop-up - it appears in my window). It then proceeeds to list the files and at the bottom says authentication successful. It then opens the next window and apparently rips the files to my Hard drive.
I then ran CloneDVD and I get a message saying "Error opening VIDEO_TS.IFO:2:unable to open file.
I don't have a file by this name - the only IFO file I have is VTS_0_1.ifo. I've tried running CLoneDVD using both the movies button and the files button - no difference.

I'm running WINXP Home on an Athlon 2500 with 2 HDD's - the files are being ripped to the second HD.

I hope this is enough information - thanks in advance for any help. I've searched other threads here and read the guides but can't find anything to answer my particular problem.

Smartripper (when set to 'auto') will always try ASPI first, but CSS DVD will cause switch to WinIO for decryption, this is normal.
CloneDVD seems to be looking for the Video_TS as it is found on a DVD (not the one on your hard disk).
But I don't use it and so, can help you no further...
