Police officials are looking into the theft of $1.7 million worth of BlackBerry PlayBooks from a semi trailer.
The theft took place at the Pilot Travel Center of State Road 67 in Chesterfield, Indiana. The driver had stopped to take a shower and get some dinner.
When the driver returned, his truck was missing. He says he was gone for about an hour.

That's one way to recover money from all the unsold playbooks. I'm sure the shipment was well insured.

EBAY has new playbooks fire sale starting soon keep your eyes open lol maybe someone at RIM wrote down the serial numbers down and can track them?

They are only worth about the same as that crummy HP tablet...even a little less since there is no Android yet.

So, they are claiming a $1.7 million loss on $0.5 million worth of product. Yeah...insurance fraud.
