Urgent help needed!look inside

hi all! after recieving my swap magic and slide card in the post, i attemped to try out my new kit. so i put the swap magic cd in, waited for the thing to load, and then used my slide card after a few tries i got the tray out(i had to insert the slide card at a 45degree angle anti-clockwise. anyone know why cuz some people dont have it). Then i pulled the tray out, put in my backup and gently pushd the tray in using the left side of the tray. now i try doing the final slide to close the tray, but the thing is when i insert the card to right and try sliding to the left nothing moves and the hook side of the card doesnt go in more that 1 cm. if i put the card on the left side and try slide it right, nothing happends.
can anyone help me out, i really need help. i read some instructions on the net but they didnt help a great deal. i cant seem to find the pin to slide back. ive tried so many times and im really desperate.

lift the tray up a little and just look for the pin.
V9 PS2, flip top, SMD, DVDLoader

ok thanks for replying but now im faced with another problem. i found out how to slide the tray shut succesfully but now ive tried 2 cd backups and they dont work. im sure the tray is shut as the drive clicks into place.
the first game i tried was pes3 under 630mb..all that happend was the screen went a transparant red and u could hear the ps2 trying to read the disc.nothing else happend for the next few mins. i burnt this with nero burning rom from a .cue file
the second game i tried was motogp3 (riped) on cd but what happend was i had a blue and red striped border come up after i boot it.
this one was burnt with alcohol 120%
can anyone help me to why this happendS? thankx

try using games x copy (from the makers of dvd x copy)
i use this all the time and never had any problems. are the games you are trying to load ps1 or ps2 games?
if they are ps2 games you need to load up with the swap magic dvd disc. some games also require a dvd loader disc available from ps2ownz.com . i think i have read on various sites that people have had probs with loading ps1 games on the ps2??? also if you are using games x copy there is no need to burn altered bin and cue files, just do a straight forward backup burn. hope this helps you out.

ok i just made another copy of pes3 pc this time using alcohol 120% and i still get the same red screen. Can anyone please please help me! :(

this might sound silly but try using the ps1 setting in Alcohol 120 to create your ps2 cd backup

do u think that will work because ive already wasted 3 good cd-rs trying to get this work but i have no idea why i get that red screen, not even a border..

its just a sugestion as some ps2 cd games have the same copy protection that ps1 games had,cant give a 100% yes

right,ill tray that tommorow but has anyone had the same problem and been able to solve it? ive tried 2 different programs now(alcohol120% and Nero), but neither of them seem to get me away from the red screen of swap magic

personaly i always use clone cd for my ps1 and ps2 cd backups

it works for me for all my ps1 and ps2 cd backups but i can't give you a 100% yes that it will work for you,did you try the ps1 setting in alcohol?,you see what works for one person might not work for another many people here use alcohol 120 but myself i have never got anything to work that i burnt with alcohol

YES! BREAKTHROUGH FOR one of the games. Well, i downloaded CD LOADER and i tried to boot motogp3 with cd loader and it worked! hooray! but when i try booting my pes3(winnin eleven 7 int jap) with cd loader it just goes "please insert ps2 format disc" at the start screen. I got 4 different copies burnt with diferent programs(alcohol and nero), and each of them do not work with cdloader as they go backto the "please insert ps2 format disc"
Any ideas anyone?

did you consider that the problem maybe the fact that the games you are trying to boot are dvd rips and swapmagic and dvd rips is not the best of combinations
