My Futurama epsidoes have a ghosting effect.. need help

HI,
I have just tried encoding some futurama episodes with gordian knot, but when i put field deiterlacing or any other of the choices on i get really bad ghosting on the final avi (i thnik it's called ghosting, where when somthing moves fast u can see a kind of shadow, ghost image around it...) anywho, when i used field deiterlace (no blend) rather than ghsting, when tings moved fast on the video i got a kind of yellow outline around them withc is really anoying.
Ive encoded futurama episodes before and they have worked fine, but i was usiong a different version of gordian know, and it was ages ago so i forgot how i did it..
If anyone knows what is going wrong i would really appreciate their help.
