Archos has announced the release of their much-anticipated 80 G9 tablet with 250GB storage.
Unlike the base models of the Archos 80, the new G9 uses a 250GB 7mm "Thin HDD" to pack 250GB of internal storage, the most seen on any tablet, by far.
There are four models of the Archos 80, as follows (via Lili):

If your going to add a hdd, why not just get a netbook or ultrabook/MBA? I mean if you need more storage there's always SD cards and now cloud services. This thing just looks clunky.
It doesn't seem all that bad, nor 'that' clunky... albeit definitely twice the thickness of a regular tablet.
Still, I can't see paying right at the verge of $400 for a tablet when I can get a smoking notebook for the same price. Not so lobe ago you could have a tablet pc that did all this, all you had to do was spin the screen around & people whined... Talk about fickle pansies...
Personally, being a bit more ham fisted than the regular person, I would rather have a device that has some weight to it so as to know that I still have a grip on the damned thing & know that I'm not going to drop half a house payment into the driveway.

That would be my question with ANY tablet. Why would I pay more for a tablet that can do less than a netbook or better yet a notebook/desktop computer? Dumb & Dumber.....
