According to a former Apple employee interviewed by Scott Martin, Ive, the Apple lead designer and close personal friend of recently deceased CEO Steve Jobs does indeed have a prototype of the much-rumored HDTV. this could be fun.

iTV is never going to happen as a name. ITV has been around as a TV station in the UK for 30 years!

i hear apple and google are going for the english premier league football rights (biggest sports league in the world) so that might be interesting but i have to admit apple products are usually overpriced shite

I did not know that. Interesting. I'll still bet my bottom dollar that Apple tries to label it "Itv" anyway.


Still, a la carte channels would be sweet and exactly what the consumer wants.......precisely why I don't see the cable channels allowing this without a fight. They no doubt recognize the profit in selling 300 (280 useless to most) channels for 100/month rather than 2 bucks per channel when most only would opt for MAYBE 20 and being charged 40/month. I'm guessing that 5 dollars per channel will be the starting point. At which time people will only subscribe to a few as they'll want to save money.

LOL - I thought the same thing when I saw the name ITV and they have web services too like the ITV-Player. Apple should invest in the Horror business - iSCREAM could go down well in Hollywood?
