Sony Pictures hacked again by Anonymous

article published on 6 January, 2012

Anonymous has hacked Sony Pictures, again. The hacking group Anonymous has confirmed that they have once again hacked Sony Pictures, gaining access to their Facebook account and website. After taking over the Facebook page, the group left a few comments on the page, proving they had done so. Anonymous says the hack has been done thanks to Sony's support of SOPA. The group has dubbed ... [ read the full article ]

Sony is Sony...And Sony supports SOPA. There are actually three Sony divisions on the list of 120 SOPA supporters.

As for fuel to the fire, it won't be directly. If the SOPA fails to destroy the internet in the name of preventing piracy by increasing piracy, then they will just switch it to being "anti-terrorist" and since Annon is already called a terrorist group they will have all the "proof" they need. No one will even care that nothing matches up and they claim that 1+2=56; anyone who opposes it will be called a terrorist.

This had to happen eventually...of course Anonymous is only doing supporters of the bill good by hacking Sony...they'll no doubt use it as a front for why the bill needs to be passed.

You really believe that just because the film and gaming divisions of Sony are not on the list of supporting SOPA they aren't against pirating their games and films?

Tax time is upon us, the fiscal quarter is about to finally come to an end, trust me, the pile of SOPA trustees will start to look like an undulating mass of humping dogs peckers & wet hair the size of a 2 story building that moves at 35 miles an hour & swallows up anything that remotely looks like its going to download an mp3 file or funny cat video.

Once the stack of money gets high enough & the entertainment/patent divisions have poked enough Viagra down the proper voting politicos throats then you'll see the true colors fly off these nyan cats asses.

I'm all for being fair and punishing leeching rampant pirates that NEVER buy a thing but this bill is the next F'ing step to communism.

I hope that every supporter of SOPA and E-Parasite gets hacked and literally all data destroyed. I'm tired of hackers just writing on their site to show they were there. Now it's time for a change..........Hack and hack and hack and CORRUPT THEIR F'ING DATA so they are required to start fresh (at least as fresh as one can get from a company that no doubt has a disaster recovery plan.)

if they were ok with it that would be retarded they pay money to have these things made.

No one really believes SOPA is about piracy anyway...it is about being able to take down sites and it won't be used against piracy...even if it was it wouldn't stop piracy or even slow it down. The media companies know this. If they actually thought it would hurt piracy then they wouldn't be supporting it because they know that pirates are their biggest customers. This is about fascism...and if there is one division of Sony that loves fascism, it is the division that put Graf in jail just for releasing Linux video drivers for the PS3. Down with SOPA, down with Sony, down with the media cartels, and down with any politician that supports them.

The problem you have is SOPA isn't really about piracy it's about taking away domains from sites the US gov don't like.

the Piracy bit is just to give it a reason to be looked at, and put into place or not.

If it comes into place they'll just take the anom domains away fairly quick, while it won't do anything much for the group, it'll just make it harder for them to have sites etc sitting open on the web.

Think of it more being like the cops shutting down the local drug lab rather than just getting rid of torrent sites.
