Is Nero complaining about the media size? If yes, then try another software.- I've had the same problem.

The old school is back. All hail the new http://BitBurners.com !

please be more specific "I can't burn the CD" can have hundred causes :
You didn't click "burn"
There was no blank in the burner
The CD in the burner was already burned
The burning aborted because of a buffer underrun
The file to burn was not selected
Etc...

So what exactly prevented you to burn it ?

My my Pio, we are in a sardonic mood tonight! Even so, Nero's overburn rarely works for me, so trying other burning ROM software could work. You can also buy 99 minute CDs, which have over 800 mb available try these guys:

http://www.cd-rmedia.co.uk

They do 99 minuters.

In Nero, make sure that you have the over burn limit actually over 80mins because 708 is about 81mins.

Click on File - Preference - Expert Features - Enable overburn and make sure that you enter a value higher than 80 minutes.

Another problem could be that the cd simply has no extra part to write on. Look at the data area of the cd and see if the sides (the parts that are see through on the edge) are visible. Some cd-rs dont have these edges!

No they shouldn't support it, you'd need to buy a burner made specifically for it!

I'm not sure if i'm in right tracks but, i solve my problem by swithcing TAO to DAO (track at once -> disc at once) after that my overburn was great success. :) I think you should try that?
(and nero 5.5.8.0 was program i used)

No TAO overburn ? I find Nero very picky about overburning ! It doesn't want to overburn multisession either ! When I need to put some Monkey's audio files after an audio session and need overburning, I must switch from Nero to CDRWin !

Jaanz is perfectly correct Nero only allows overburning in "disc-at-once" modes. I've used nero 5.5.8.0 numerous times to overburn and rarely have problems!

Nero may not overburn if your burner doesn't support overburn. I find that with my writer, I can overburn an 80min disk to 82mins vcd but the same doesn't work for audio so, it's probably just nero!
