Toshiba has announced the Excite X10 tablet today at the CES event, the world's thinnest tablet.
The X10 is just 7.7mm thick, very impressive for a 10.1-inch IPS display. For comparison, the iPad 2 is 8.8mm thick. Additionally, the tablet has a Micro USB port, a Micro HDMI port, an SD card slot and a dock connector.

Besides, have you read the reviews on the Transformer?? Riddled with issues and the KB "transforming" part is an extra 150 bucks making the unit nigh 700.

Besides, have you read the reviews on the Transformer?? Riddled with issues and the KB "transforming" part is an extra 150 bucks making the unit nigh 700.
No, Mysttic is correct here. The Prime has a QUAD-CORE processor and is just 0.6 mm thicker. It costs $500 for 32GB and $150 for the dock makes it $650 for a far superior tablet (hardware wise) + the dock, for an extra $50 than this tablet alone. I have not ready any reviews that show the Prime "riddled" with issues, whereas the Toshiba Thrive is generally considered a horrible tablet and this is its older, more expensive brother.

He referred to the "Transformer" though......not the Prime. The Prime is a TF201 where the regular Transformer is a TF101.
I do agree with you though.......Prime is the bomb!......PERIOD.......but is 650 bucks at the lowest I've seen and the KB is an extra 200+. The regular Transformer is around 400 so I assume he/she was referring to the TF101 since it's more comparably priced.
However after having JUST checked for availability......it seems hard to find. Even Amazon.com has from "sellers" rather than Amazon themselves. Prices for the Prime there are 620 + 219 for the KB. We'll see in a month or two when it's more readily and widely available.
This is not in the same level as Prime... Order my back in december quad,32gb for 499... Won't arrive till february but I'm in no rush... Kb is an accessory the end
