No solder Mod problems...

I have a version 5/6 Ps2 SCPH30001 R. I have had a no-solder mod chip installed and working in my machine for almost a year now using Swap Magic disks. Last week the chip stopped working, it would not eject the CD tray when the eject button was held. I then ordered and replaced the faulty chip with a new one. The new chip worked for about 3 hours worth of play and then when i tried to switch to a different backup i ran into the same problem with the CD tray.

Has anybody seen this problem or have any idea what could be causing the chips to fail????

dude i just got the no solder mod chip for version 5 and it wont even let the tray eject..
somone please help us both

dude i just ordered my no solder chip from console source.com and it works great thhis is a good place to go
