Hello everyone! This is my first post and I'd like to thank everyone who contributes to this wonderful forum!

Is there a 'simple' way to add one (or more) vob(s) when making a backup of a movie DVD? I know how to remove things (SmartRipper, etc.), but how does one -add- a title or two that isn't contained on the DVD but is, instead, a file on my HD?

I want to add, say, a Dolby Digital trailer, or my custom home-theatre snipe, so it will automatically play ahead of the 'main movie'. No menues, just the snipe(s) and the movie.

I know re-authoring is necessary, but is there a fairly simple (and cheap :) way to do this? How would you do it?

Is there a 'vob adder' that re-builds the IFO file (or whatever else is necessary) available somewhere?

Thanks a lot for any assistance offered!

Welcome.
You can do all this with DVD Shrink. Just have your custom vdo converted to legal VOB file then use the 'Re-author' in DVD Shrink. You'll have 3 windows of DVD Shrink opened, 1st is the main movie, second is your custom video, and the third is the blank, the one that you're gonna build. Just drop your custom video to the 3rd window as the fisrt vdo to play first and then drop the movie (you'll see that idea about the order). Then click 'Back up'. Hope this helps.
