I have a microsoft hub that I have used to play online many times.I have a Xecuter (3 i believe) modchip that i had flashed and everything fine with that. PLEASE HELP ME! Do i need to diagnose my chip or something or get some dashborad for the chip, I dont't know anything about my modchip!

Make sure your using something with an ftp client, like evoX. And with a hub, make sure you're using a cat-5 cable (patch, straight through, whatever; not a crossover). Also switch static ip to off. In the settings menu of evoX (or on the skin, depending on the skin setting), it will show you the assigned ip that you can use in flash.
That should do it.

I don't have Evox. Like I said i have a Xecuter modchip, so what should i use to transfer files to my xbox? I need to transfer HaloNMP. And wat do u mean by static ip? Isn't cat-5 cable the same as a eterhnet cable. Whats the difference between a cat-5 and a crossover cable? Thankz for your help and time!

Did you install any other dashboard, such as evolution x on your xbox after flashing the bios, because if not your going to have to do that before doing any ftp'ing.

You are going to have to get a new dashboard for your box else you cant ftp. The difference between a straight through and a crossover cable is that a crossover cable crosses over within the cable and a straight through is used with a router because it goes straight through the wire and then the router does the rest.
A static ip is when the ip used is always the same and doesnt change. Your pc and xbox give out ips if it is set to no.

Ok, know I know what I need to do and I know the differences. BUT how can I get a new dashboard? Is it downloadable or do I need to install it in the box? Is EvoX downloadable? One more question, is there any other way to transfer files to my box that u may know of? Like maybe I can just burn it on a cd, rite? Thankz for the quick responses guys. :)

you have to search for it on the net. Pm me and i will give you a link to slayers auto installer which will put it on. You have to burn it as an image and put it on dvd-r or cd-rw.

You don't have an Xecuter 3, because it's not out yet. You must make an evoX boot disk, and configure the evox.ini file to your IP settings before you burn it using xISO. Then read a networking guide, here's my favorite --> http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?&act=ST&f=23&t=183856 Search around, please don't ask how to get evoX, Slayer's, ect.

I'm even getting a guy to do it all for me! I just need opinion from your experinces. I have a Thompson drive, so which cd-r/cd-rw/dvd-r etc. brand do you recommend???

I would recommend getting dvd-r because the thompson cant read many cd-r/rw. Go for ritek as these seem to be the best.
