Despite selling the actual hardware at a loss, the Kindle Fire appears to already be profitable for Amazon. I bought an Kindle Fire, and I've enjoyed it so far.

I hope that Amazon keeps up with some more improvements on the Kindle Fire, and maybe even get a tablet that can challenge Apple someday.
