Hi:

I have a LG 4040B burner, haven't been successful YET! Still working on that. What media do I need. I have Ritek GO4 -R, 4x's. I don't know what the difference between + & -. Sorry but I couldn't find the answer to my question.

They're just different formats of recording the same thing. Last I heard dvd-r works on about 95% of dvd players. Dvd+r works on about 89%. Other than that I haven't heard of any real difference.
