I got a few divx movies, but when i try to play them in any application, they are green and the sound is screwy. I have the most updated codecs, and I don't know if its something I'm missing or just a bad rip. Thanks a lot!

1. Are you sure its DivX ... that problem is much more common with XviD movies
2. Check http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/48608 for a codec setup
3. Check out the FDDSHOW filter .. that usually solves problems
